Laura Frances Martin - about


Laura is an artist, performer and arts producer based in Cornwall, UK.

As a visual artist she’s best known for her large scale lantern builds for festivals & events across Cornwall & the South West; she works in a variety of media, in both 2D & 3D; and she also delivers a diverse range of community arts workshops.

As a performer she has worked on a range of site specific theatre, film & TV projects; she has sung with several Cornwall based vocal groups; and she also often includes performative elements in her lantern commissions.

As an arts producer she has worked on projects, events and festivals including BikeLights, FIRE & STEAM and ARTiculate’s Island Light Festivals on Scilly. Laura is a Founder/Director of ARTiculate and also a Director of Wadebridge Creative Hub.

Laura has a 1st Class BA Hons Degree in Theatre with a dance & movement specialism from Dartington College of Arts, as well as a visual arts BTEC foundation and a Diploma in Management For Creative Industries.
